Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yup you're right, had to scroll to Saturday to get the games there were on after midnight, didn't realise I'd scrolled as far as the 5pm games!

Is it just me that can't watch Boise State home games? That blue field does my head in!

Four plays, 50 seconds and Baylor have already scored on SMU.

    Touchdown SMU! Great throw.

Pfft, 1 play and SMU tie it up!

First good tackle in this game from Billings there.

Baylors defence is very bad, to put it mildly, but SMU look like such a different team to last year.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 12,333 ✭✭✭✭JONJO THE MISER

    Just backed over 96.5 pts.

    SMU are playing good:eek:

Every year, you think okay, surely Baylors defence can't get any worse. Yet there you go. It's abysmal, but I'm also impressed by SMU. Some really nice play calling here.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,719 ✭✭✭JaMarcusHustle

Aaand classic SMU returns. Eagles-esque clock management.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,942 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Every year you think that this is the last time you will see epic stupidity from a team but here we go again with SMU throwing away points with stupid plays and letting the clock run out and letting go a guaranteed three points.

Pretty impress defence from Northwestern here, a lot of big time TFLs. But damn does Kevin Hogan have an ugly throw.

Robert Nkemdiche - All-American Defensive End - with the 31 yard touchdown pass! http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=13588743

They're in a lot of bother now!

2 score game. 13-3 Northwestern. 12 minutes left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

    Northwestern up 13 - 3 in the 4th quarter.

    Upset alert.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Absymal efforts at catching the football there by Stanford. Offense stinks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Stanford make the 38 yarder. 13-6. Huge drive coming up for Northwestern now. The Stanford D looks gassed so hopefully they can pound the rock and run the clock.

Northwestern have made a 49 yarder! :D Take a bow Jack Mitchell.

    16-6, around 4 minutes left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

49yrd FG puts Northwestern 10 up with around 4 minutes left. Stanford in a deep hole here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

INT, that's the game and the upset! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

I know it's only Virginia, but Josh Rosen is looking really, really good.

Washington State are also on the verge of being upset by Portland State. 17-17 with 6 minutes left, but Portland have a 3rd and goal at the 1.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

A ridiculous cheap shot tackle by BYU CB Jordan Preator looks to have seriously injured David Sutton. Horrible way for his first start to end.

After a good start, Penn State are beginning to struggle with Temple.

    Hackenburg has been erratic.

    10 - 7 to the Nittany Lions.

Yup, grabs it for a TD with about 5 cornhuskers around him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 252 ✭✭limerickfc

The other WR blocked off everyone well for him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

    TD Notre Dame!

Zaire looking assured on that drive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Another TD for the Irish. Freshman Josh Adams in for the injured Folston.

    14 - 0

That's some mighty fine pass rushing by Jaylon Smith!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,717 ✭✭✭polaris68

Josh Adams with another TD for Notre Dame. What a debut.

    However Texas have been awful.

    Irish piling it on now.

Some alternative highlights from this weekend.

    **********************************************************************************

Temple's 2 man rush is too much for Penn State's 6 blockers to handle.

    **********************************************************************************

QBs can hurdle too (Oregon State's Seth Collins).

    AfraidBlaringAlabamamapturtle.gif

    **********************************************************************************

I think I'm too used to seeing scrawny, skinny kickers. Penn State's Joey Julius is a welcome change.

    **********************************************************************************

SMU's fans are just one large collection of Bros.

    **********************************************************************************

Jordan Westerkamp somehow salvages this play and turns it into a TD. Credit for QB Tommy Armstrong Jr's reckless block.

Week 1, and we already have the best Gameday sign you'll see all season.

    Way to protect your Quarterback.

    **********************************************************************************

This one is a little rough. Michael Caputo of Wisconsin suffered a concussion, and went to the Alabama huddle and tried to line up on their side of the ball. Referee had to call for help to get him off the field.

    **********************************************************************************

7 minutes before kickoff at Illinois. Yikes.

    **********************************************************************************

No other way to say this - Kansas State's marching band makes their rival mascot - the Kansas Jayhawk - suck a giant dick.

    **********************************************************************************

Well, that's one way to stop to clock to help stop Tennessee's no-huddle....

    **********************************************************************************

Clemson's Mike Williams left the game after this TD catch. Luckily it was only as a precaution - those pads are there for a reason!

NC State's Dravious Wright channels his inner Clowney.

Jones ain't gonna last too long as the starter for the Buckeyes if he doesn't get it together real quick.

Hard to believe Braxton Miller is reduced to playing the h-back role for them.

    Penalties are killing his offense

So Buckeyes go up by 14 very early and it all looks pretty much over but then Cardale Jones falls asleep and the Hokies get a couple of chances and now after an Ezekiel Elliot fumble on a punt return the Hokies go in at the half up by 3.

JT Barrett was warming up before halftime.
