Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

vrt on navara

    any truth in the story that vrt on Nissan Navara(new shape) is €50 because it weighs over 3 tonnes..have been told this by 3/4 people in the last few weeks. ive looked up the vrt calculator and it says 13.3%.

    confused...

    Mitisubishi are doing double cab commercial pick-up now. They are 4 door with only front seats. They fall into the €50 vrt band. Maybe Nissan are doing something similar, i.e. a two seater double cab.

    Otherwise, all doublecabs are vrt'd at 13.3%

    And the heaviest Navara is well under 3 tonnes. Top spec one weighs in at approx 2200kg...

    nope, I heard that they beefed up the rear wheels and rear suspension to somehow dodge VRT. I don't understand it myself. I reckon you should need a truck licence to drive it? :)

    Interesting, I wonder how they are doing that. :confused:
    I wouldn't have thought Ireland was a big enough market for Navaras to redesign the rear set-up.

    For some reason (think it's to do with the load bed length) the Navarra has always been classified as a Category C Commercial (€50 VRT) since the new model was launched.

    L200 is classified as a Category B commercial (13.3% VRT), but the new D-MAX has been classified as Category C.
