What car should I buy, you decide

Hey every1 ,

Im looking to buy a new car soon.

I want a diesel. I have a max of 5000euro to spend...

I'm immediatly think of a tdi golf, '00 model

Has any1 else got any other opinion of what I should get?

For a decent one €5k would be a minimum....there's plenty of shite out there for less though.

5k will get a descent 98 model with 100k miles. But it will go forever.

+1 Had an emaculate 01 1.8 20v Petrol with low milage, only got €6500 for it two years ago. Great car, huge boot, really comfortable, and graet fuel consumption for petrol, diesels even better obviously.

Ur pushing it at 5k for even a decent '98. You might get a later 90hp basic spec but it'll have been to te moon miles wise.

I'm considering selling my '98 GT Tdi 110, but not for 5k. PM me if you're interested.

Go for a similar age Seat or Skoda, in essence the same car but a lot less money.
