Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Whats the craic with the hand wrapping? Do you get a free set of wraps or is it just about getting them wrapped by someone from ufc?

  • Registered Users Posts: 53 ✭✭saladtime

    How do these events work?

The Wednesday Meet & Greet is listed as free as is the Thursday Table Quiz.

Yet when you click into them there's no options for tickets.

Do you just show up on the night? Was hoping to go to the quiz night.

Both sold out now unfortunately mate. It's free but you had to get tickets via that link.

One of the events has a hand wrapping station where you can get your hands wrapped by the pros.

    Thanks mate.

Gutted :( They must have been gone within 15 minutes as I clicked into the link after 7.15.

We were looking to go to the Quiz on the Thursday - if anyone got a ticket for it and it later turns out that they can't attend I'd be majorily thankful if they could PM me. Thanks lads :)

Anyone know what the story is with the weigh-ins or what fight club benefits will be this year? Also anyone reckon the meet&greet will be strictly tickets-only, e.g if i went into the pub 2 hours before & stayed in would i get away with it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,355 ✭✭✭cruhoortwunk

Anyone looking for tickets, PM me. I have a few of the €181 ones to offload

Was anyone in the VIP bar last time around? I might be getting passes for it and I'm curious if there would be anyone of interest in there or if it's just full of corporate types and TV3 wannabes?

You had Forrest Griffin, Cub Swanson and Eddie Gordon in VIP hospitality at the Gibson pre fights at UFC Dublin last year. UFC VIP hospitality tends to be reserved for those purchasing that package (any celebs will likely be entertained else where, well that's how it played out last July)

Ufc have started to include "leg reach" in the stats, starting with this event.

Nope, it's on Setanta Ireland, which is only SD on Sky, not sure about UPC. Not on BT either so the only way to watch in decent quality is Fightpass.

Oh my mistake. Thats a real pity. I'd still tape Setanta Ireland, not sure what makes 3e look so fuzzy.

does anyone know if fight club members still get any benefits like the q&a last year?

They got a poster and early entry for a signing session with guest fighters.

You didn't need fightclub membership to attend the Q & A you needed weigh in tickets you could hang around then after weigh ins for it

Poirier and Pendred (decision in particular) seem a bit on the large side.

Anyone know how Fight Club members go about getting sorted for that this year, or if it's even happening?

He's always at it, Signed posters/gloves etc. to the highest bidder. Most fighters give stuff away for free for a few retweets/follows to raise their profile... which is a smarter play in the long-run you'd assume.

So just to be clear, as a FC member, I still have to get tickets in the general sale? I thought FC members were guaranteed access?

    Nope.
Priority entry at certain events, that's it.

There are more FC members than any weigh-in venue could hold.

Ah right, good to know, not going to the Dublin event itself but plan on going up for the Q&A and weigh-ins for the day out. Hopefully I'm lucky enough to get a ticket tomorrow.

I would have thought the UFC wouldn't have been too keen on one of their fighters touting tickets like that.

How many tickets available tomorrow do we think? Will they open the whole top tier as well as the bottom?

I think there was about 6 thousand last year at it, they blocked off some of the outer upper tier, but the main section of the upper tier was open.
