Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

TTH Chicago postmortem. Absolutely class :pac: Renan's response to 145 was priceless and TTH always does a great job with TJ.

Love TTH and love TJ and the pesghetti (from the first fight where he thought TJ was like a child being fed to the dark lord Renan) :)

Barao looked... basic, to steal a CMcG line. There was nothing here that looked particularly dangerous after the first round. He got progressively slower and less threatening. What I couldn't understand was why Barao didn't take the fight to the ground (or even attempt to really). In fact it was TJ looking for the takedown and then when presented with Barao's back seemed unsure if he really wanted to do anything with it!

I think Barao moves up to 145 and gets eaten by the monsters in that division. Edgar, Mendes, McG would all snack on him imho.

I think Baraos soul got stolen from that first loss. Even against Gangon he looked different from his regular self. Not as fast or aggressive or something.

Be interesting to see where he goes from here. I'd echo that he would maybe benefit by going up in weight class but he'd have a whole other level of killers to deal with there, including possibly his team mate Aldo.

Yeah I was thinking the same, was wondering why Barao wasn;t going for a takedown since the standup obviously wasn't working. Bit strange.

I think Joe said it all when after the 3rd round Barao's "coach" was telling him to just win. He didn't seem to have any gameplan or any kind of belief he was going to win the fight, if plan A wasn't working he just kept plodding doing the same thing and looked defeated after the 1st. TJ was very impressive but i don't know why Barao wouldn' throw way more kicks. Moving up is probably the best for him.

Overall it was a cracking card and criminally under promoted. Terrific fights on paper and in reality also.

The main event was not the best fight but one of the best finishes I ever seen
