Watching The Sum Of All Fears at the moment, and the USS John Stennis just got the bejaysus blown out of it by a squadron of Backfires.

In Transformers 2 it gets blown apart by a bunch of decepticons who then dive down to revive Megatron.

According to Wiki she is sunk in a game, Homefront.

Have any other ships been this unlucky in fiction???

The first one that comes to mind is the USS Nimitz. It was destroyed along with the carrier group in a Goa'uld attack on Earth (Stargate SG1) and in The Final Countdown was transported back in time!

4trf55Does this count? I don't know its name but it certainly doesn't look lucky to me.

    the Missouri in Under Siege!

HMS Surprise in Master & Commander - ambushed twice, wrecked rounding Cape Horn, their doctor gets shot and even when they fo get the Acheron, the captain pulls a fast one.

Looks like the ships that get clobbered in Battleship (the
Sampson and the John Paul Jones
) are on the US Navy's roster.
