Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm looking for a dealer with a good cheap Semi-auto shotgun.

Must have at least a 6 shot mag and with a picatinny rail fitted. Mossberg 930, or Beretta 1301 Tactical sort of thing. Short barrel is a must. Going to be used for target shooting.

Try John O'Brien in Waterford, I think he had a Benelli M3 second hand last year. Barrel was not short though.

He's on the Tramore road, he's across from the back of woodies.

    Waterford angling and outdoor center.

Sorry to hi-jack, but what sort of target shooting is it for? Would like to learn more about it if you have any info.

All done in the UK where they are allowed these type of comps.
Same as the Gallery rifle competitions. Different classes, Shotgun, Semi, Pump, Classic
T&P1, Multi Target, Target 100y and 200y, and Embassy Cup to name a few.

    100y/200y course details.
100y = 2 sighters, then standing unsupported 2 strings of 5 shots in 30 seconds each
200y = 2 sighters, then sitting or kneeling 10 shots in 10 minutes

    Embassy Cup details.
2 targets are used, Semi or Pump used.
25m standing unsupported load with 4 rounds, 2 shots on each target, reload with 4, then prone 2 on each target in 20 seconds. replace targets.
20m standing unsupported load with 4 rounds, 2 shots on each target, reload with 4, then sitting 2 on each target in 20 seconds. replace targets.
15m standing unsupported load with 4 rounds, 2 shots on each target, reload with 4, then kneeling 2 on each target in 20 seconds.

    Easy

That's what I was afraid of. Sounds like good craic though.

Be nice if we could get that going here too as it could be shot unrestricted guns by the mag count.

whats the issue in Ireland, I mean gallery rifle is allowed ( tolerated) along as you avoid close it and dynamic shooting ( whatever that means to individual guards )

Its the ammo required Boat Mad.
Shotgun slugs. Its restricted ammo, and ergo you need a restricted shotgun to fire it or a very good reason for your CS to grant you a restricted liscense for your restricted shotgun.Seeing that it is a Catch 22 situation, you have no good reason to have a restricted shotgun here as we dont have competitions, you have no reason to use even restricted ammo in your unrestricted shotgun.Even those who shoot it here are complaining about the difficulty of getting shotgun slug import permits by dealers.Apprently Dublin zoo and Fota hogged the last DOJ permit for slugs issued here.Hope they got decent slugs for hunting like the French Sauvetere sabot slug. The Rottweil stuff that was for sale here last time I saw them was for paper punching and steel ringing, not for hunting.

Can't get the gun for it because there are no competitions, can't set up the competitions because too few people have the guns. It's a laugh :pac:
