Air Heating from Stove???

We are installing a stove in a livingroom downstairs. We also have a large attic space that we would like to develop at some point; it is slabbed but not finished.
I am trying to set up the stove install so that it would provide heat upstairs when we get to finsh that space, or at least get the dirty work out of the way now so we don't have to mess up the living room again.
The ground floor is heated from geothermal UFH, and the hot water cylinder is in the shed outside, also heated from geothermal.
My first thought was to put pipes in the chimney breast now and change to a boiler stove & rads when we do upstairs, but as we don't have a copper cylinder in the house, don't think that is feasable.
Another suggestion was to provide air heating from the dry stove to the space upstairs.
Has anyone any experience of this type of setup?
    What type of stove?
How was heat transmission set up?

    Any thoughts or inspiration?
