Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Maybe a very rookie question but,
ive just got my boiler going again after the summer and even though its switched off at the timer on the wall it keeps kicking in and out throughout the day by itself. It isnt heating the radiators unless it is switched on properly but seems we are putting oil in it to heat up the boiler house any one got any reason why this is happening

If you have a zoned heating then one of the motorized valves is faulty and need replacing.
Your timeclock ONLY turns on the valve. The valve then turns on boiler when it opens, or in your case, maybe faulty.

It would need a component plumber or electricans to diagnose which one & replace.

It would look something like this http://www.electricirelandstore.ie/Product/sunvic-frost-protection-kit-for-central-heating-boiler/1158/100 ,You could see if you have one in the boiler house

Froststat could be faulty, but generaly from my experience, if you have a zoned heating ????
    Do you?

I'd be looking at motorized valve, it's a more common fault than a frost stat, I could be wrong, hence my recommendation to get a component professional to diagnose fault, which would be easy enough.
    Thermostat €25
    Valve €60
