Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was thinking of spending next weekend in Perth and was wondering do they celebrate Paddys day? If so can any recommend any pubs worth visiting for Irish music etc?

After all the trouble the paddies have caused out there in recent times you'd wonder will they celebrate it. Didn't the Western Australian Police have to get in touch with the local GAA clubs in an attempt to try and control these animals.

Yeah I'm guessing your right. You know the Aussies when it comes to celebrating. More craic in an egg.

    Probably be nothing happening.

The Aussies have nothing to do with it, its the ex pats that organise things.
I'm here in Queensland and there is a whole diary of events starting from today with a sports afternoon and we don't have half the amount of Irish here that are currently in Perth smashing the place to smithereens if you want to believe all the hype. There will be loads going on as in every major city that has Irish in it.

A little search on a thing called Google and you will be surprised what you may uncover.

You obviously cared enough to waste time typing that.

I don't care for 90% of what's posted on AH but I don't feel the need to let others know that, as big surprise, they don't care.

Anyway... you're thinking of going to Oz for a weekend?

There will plenty of diddly eye shenanigans going on all over Perth so yes, you will find stuff to do.

Any Irish or English bar will go all out and make a fortune from the "Patriots on Tour". It's a very messy day every year and if you like that sort of thing then Rosie O'Grady's in the city is your best bet, but get there early or you won't get in.

Do they combine Paddy's day with a stampede in Calgary, just to make it more interesting?
