Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    No. It indicates what proportion of visitors to the Irish Times website clicked yes or no to a poll.

    I wouldn't trust nor vote in any of those newspaper polls- if they are not showing the numbers of voters then the percentages of Yes/No are useless.

    No. Self selecting polls can be badly skewed. For accuracy, the poll respondents should be selected at random and the figures adjusted to fit a standardised profile (your poll might only have a few hundred or thousand respondents and might have a distorted demographic).

    Tests can be done to say whether its significant though, so it could, and probably does, reflect something.

    Irrelevant. You are comparing apples and rhinoceroses.
    so it could, and probably does, reflect something.
    It only reflects Irish times voters (worldwide) who happened to vote in that poll. It has nothing to do with the people likely to vote FF in an Irish election.
