Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Depends on what the problem is! Is it hard, soft, or just dirty water?

    Ah yes, thanks.
Hard water and 12 cfu coliforms, well hasn't been shocked yet and is nowhere near any septic tanks, so no e.coli.
Haven't got other chemistry results back yet.

Looking for something with cheap effective consumables, there are so many out there. A inlet/outlet pressure gauge would be a bonus as would be some washable prefilters...

I would recommend using a Watts WUV6-220 UV Sterilization system with a 10 inch filter housing with a 5 micron washable filter.

These systems are made in the USA and are of high quality. Beware of many cheap chinese copies available which are far inferior quality. I install these systems all the time and never have any problems and they always pass council water testing.

If you would like more information or pricing just pm me.
    Regards Ian Murphy

Totally agree! Buying quality is very important when choosing your treatment system. You & your family must drink this water. Don't let price cloud your judgement.

The most common systems are Sterilight, Trojan and Watts.. each good with varying prices and attributes. Some systems have LCD screens showing remaining lamp life.. some have alarms when bulbs fail. I cant emphasise enough to stay clear of Chinese replicas.

one thing to check is the cost of servicing maintaining the filtration/uv system. the cost of uv bulb replacement is one to watch, some of the cheaper units seem to have expensive bulb replacement.
