Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    the other day i went tomylocal quarry for a bag of stone,while laodingit into my van,the machine driver ripped the slidding door off my van,completly,
    so i left the quarry with out stone and with out my door,my van is worth about 1500,at the quarry they toldme to get a quaote,not to fix it just to get a quaote,so i did and the garage told me it would be in the reigon of 2500 euro to fix it up,i have never been in this situation before,or any thing like it,the garage man is going to fax the price to the guys in the quarry,what happens next,how long do i have to be without a van,what is the usural out come of these events,thanks for any help.:)

    If the cost of repairs exceeds the value of the vehicle then it is a write-off.

    In that event the quarry's liability to you for the damage to the vehicle is it's market value less salvage/scrap value.

    Sorry about that Ted.......

    P.S. You can claim for alternative hire as well for a fwe weeks while you replace your vehicle...
