    Hi,
Need to get a roof rack for a VW Bora and wondered if anyone knows where to get some at the best price, what to look for/what to avoid etc...
    Thanks,
    Brad

Do you need a rack or will bars do? You need to take into account what you will be carrying and the weight of it. Most take around 60 - 70kg. You can get Thutle and pay quite a lot or get from a dealer and know it will fit perfect, (as would the thutle).

Ehm, thinking about it bars will be fine. It needs to hold a kayak which will only be around 20kg

Bar would be grand, in-fact better than a rack, as a rack can have sharp edges and damage the kayak. Oh 20kg for a kayak , what you paddling?

hehe if I can get some roof bars, I'll more than likely be swapping for a 'real kayak' this summer :)
