Old Eyes , New Hob

    My Mother has AMD but can read newspapers books and her laptop, BUT not her new ceramic hob, the "touch-screen" controls are difficult to read. She is missing the old fashioned knobs.
    Is there any kind of light that will make them florescent? Any bumps that can identify where to press? All suggestions (other than replace it ) are welcome.

    PS, she is not being difficult, she likes cooking:) , and adores the induction speed and cleanliness .

    Without seeing the hob it is a bit difficult, but can she see the knobs? Is it just the labelling she cannot see? If it is, would it help to put up a sketch of the layout of the knobs with the placement of heat level marks etc clearly shown. Stick it on the wall somewhere handy - once she gets used it the layout she probably won't need it.
