Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Has any laws been implemented in Ireland since 2002 on the topic?

Here are the edits from the Irish statute book

    http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/isbc/1957.html#a6_1957

To find edits in any Act, click on "legislation directory" on the ISB website, and a list similar to that will appear. The most relevant amendments for the period you're concerned with arose under the Land And Conveyancing Law Reform Act 2009

As well as amendments to the Principle Act, you should take note that The Land Registration Rules were updated in 2012, although frankly there is no big change anywhere in those.

As well as amendments to the Principle Act and The Land Registration Rules, you should take note that case law has also developed in the intervening years, and there is still a great deal of opacity in Irish law on adverse possession.

Competent property solicitors are (sometimes) paid to do all of this tedious fact-checking so you don't have to, but those are the relevant considerations if you wish to proceed alone.

Are you looking for legislation, case law or European court rulings/opinions? It's not as simple as looking only at legislation but it's not a bad start.

Do the adverse possessors(?) wishing to register title have to pay their rates / NPPR / household charge / LPT in a timely fashion or can they just get away with paying them just before registration?
