Former UL student here. Working in accountancy now and often use the library to study for ACCA exams but they're closed at weekends and after 5pm on weekdays from now until the end of august. Are there any areas where someone could study open at weekends? can't study at home at all!

Postgrad room near the fishtank? Been a while since I have been in UL but it was a great place to go to dodge all the Leaving Certs ;)

If all else fails, the D1 or C1 corridors are great for studying, especially once the hordes have dispersed for the day and the place is quiet. Or the obligatory Red Raisins suggestion. Not ideal, but I can't imagine noise would be that much of a problem during the summer.

Either side of Red Raisins is it?

C1 is right next to RR as you head to Ski Slopes. There used to be a table and chairs there (the one they use for invigilation during exams) and there's plug sockets. It's fine like. We did an all nighter there once and twas grand.

D1 is just after C1, so just keep walking. Probably quieter than C1 because not many people would be passing through there after hours.

At a pinch, there's also a desk or two at the top of the stairs inside the Ski Slopes with plug sockets. Should be grand during summer, but during winter it's bloody baltic there. :P
