Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Annoying Calls From 1570 Number

    i keep getting calls from a 1570 number all evening and its doing my nut.
    im not answering in case its a scam or something where my credit gets drained but there is a part of me wanting to answer in case ive won a competion:eek:

    any ideas what i should do/say if i answer

    Report it to the Gardi that your getting harassment calls?
    and/or
    Answer one, give them a limited time, say 30 seconds, then hang up cutting them (if need be, in mid sentence) off without hesitation if it appears/sounds like a scam.

    Did ya actually enter any competitions?! In the unlikely event that its a human, just ask them how they got your number and could ya please be removed from their list.

    What used to happen on our house phone was the phone would ring from Private, then when I answered, about 5 seconds later someone else answered as if i'd rang them! Anyone ever have that happen?

    Also various American cruise wins, and surveys, oh and something like 000000001 used to ring an awful lot a few months back.

    Stuff like this are the reasons i rarely answer the house phone, and even rarer answer the front door!
