Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got my hands on a Panasonic Pt-ae700e a while back and just stuck it in the attic. An old machine, granted, but I'm sure it'd still be a decent bit of kit if it worked. Anyhow, symptoms:

Powers on briefly, about 5 secs, you can see light from the lens, a white flicker, Blue (at this point I can see the menu screen through the lens ) then lights out and unit goes to standby ( there is not nearly enough light to project to a screen / wall ). You then need to power off from the main on/off switch to replicate this cycle- just pressing the front power button has no effect. Bulb perhaps ? I could briefly get into options by looking through the lens and I can see 1320 lamp hours just before it shuts down.

Could a failed lamp cause these symptoms ?

Just revisiting this guys. The unit powers on and remain on just fine, However, the image, though perfectly clear, is veru dull. Any ideas or recommendations for a trustworthy repair guy in the Dublin area ?
