Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi I had a question about the above I was thinking of buying.

Generally what is the battery life like I heard it's very good.

I am getting it for web browsing at home and carting into work for my own use (my job is quite boring at times so watching a movie on the hd would be handy) would the G3 500 be ok for the movie end I am sure it would be ok for browsing?

It's being sold for €399 too dear? or ok?

    Thanks for all help

    Keith

it depends on the other specs. RAM, HD wireless card etc. It will play DVD's no problem. If it is 10gb\128\DVD then €399 is a bit steep, unless you are getting some sort of warranty with it.

You could bring one in from the US pretty cheap, even after customs and shipping.

It's a 10gb/cd/256mb from www.nowafflecomputers.ie with a 3 month rtb warranty. I don't mind it having no dvd. Don't think I would get in from the states prefer to have some sort of comeback in person...:D

    Thanks for the info soupercomputer

LOL, I used to sell them until the mini arrived, then the swicther market dissapeared!

Of course if you have access to a monitor in work, a mac mini would be much better value!
