    Asian silver carp!
    The authorities in the US have not had the courage to poison waters to remove them. So these fish spread and the problem gets worse.
    It looks bizarre to see them jump like that when an outboard alarms them :eek:
    Water skiing in infested water now carries the likelihood of broken neck and ribs from impacts with jumping fish up to the teens of pounds weight.

    It is their natural defensive mechanism on being disturbed. They are just not as good as flying fish yet.
    Mullet do it to a lesser extent, always a surprise to seem them break the surface when a 4oz lead lands in the middle of the shoal.

    They are ment to be quite dangerous when they jump out, people getting hammered by 6/7lb carp and breaking bones.
    They have a competion in some US state where the hit the fish into the boat with baseball bats and sticks and the boat with the most at the end of the day wins! :D
