Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just wondering for anyone in the know. I am heading to the match tomorrow night and was wondering would i be able to bring a bag full of training gear into the stadium with me. I plan to do a training session in the gym before going to the game but won't be going home after the session so will have the gym bag with me.

Really looking forward to this! I don't feel too worried about bringing in new blood at this stage, I just want to see a tough-to-beat Ireland performance to make sure Italy, Spain and Croatia are quaking in their highly ranked boots :)

It'd obviously be nice to see the new lads putting in a great showing and giving Trap something to think about, but it's not the main issue right now is it. Come on Ireland!

Thats the whole idea of a friendly in my eyes especially coming up to an massive tournement. By all means start with the strongest possible side, but no matter what the score is alternatives need to be used if nothing else to see how they cope.

Hopefully we'll get to see McClean get a good run. Also be good to see Walters get a half up front.

Interesting also how O'Dea & St Ledger get on at cb. Still have serious doubts about O'Dea.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this experiment goes tbh, its something we could really use against the likes of Spain in the Euros.

Also wondering this. Isn't up next on the Live section on the RTE Player.

Good , Ive always thought Ireland needed more "arm waving" in midfield.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,553 ✭✭✭✭Dempsey

I checked earlier, only saw it on Sky Sports 1, 19.30 - 22.00

Its on Sky Sports 1, RTE 2 showing highlights at 22:20. Its really annoying that the dont show the match on RTE live.

I had a gander on the ticketmaster map the other day to see what the attendance will be like. The map suggested a lot more purchased tickets than what is in the ground. Must have been lots of returned tickets from clubs or the freebies were not taken up

Isnt Robbie Keane suppose to introduce each player to the president

Shocking amount of empty seats, especially considering they were on offer for only a tenner.

    Theodor Gebre Selassie,

    This fella sounds Kenyan...is he?

Why are we wearing our away kit? A marketing thing for the new jersey?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Great cross from McGeady there, shame Long wasn't able to get power into the header.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,593 ✭✭✭theteal

Long should have done better, i feel there. Mcgeady's cross was actually pin point!

edit: nah it was a difficult enough header getting above the defender

    Good start. Unlucky.

The kits are nice when ya see them on the players.

Jerseys are on sale for 70 euro, absolute rip off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Ugh. Stephen Ward, you might get away with that at Wolves, but not good enough in an Irish jersey.

Milan Baros still leading the line (head down presumably)?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,116 ✭✭✭starviewadams

Have to pay for the new stadium somehow I suppose.

Baros must be getting on in years at this stage.

i'm going to blame o'shea for that one. he hid and didn't show for a short pass and left shay with no option but to hoof it. . .kinda

How the fcuk did we not score from that cross!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Some excellent crossing and long passing from us so far, shame Long wasn't that bit sharper.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,593 ✭✭✭theteal

    what a touch?!

    accidental?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,164 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

Well played by Keane there, good stop from Cech.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Xavi-seque cross from Andrews there, Keane a little unlucky with the shot, he took it down well though.

    Brilliant from Keane there.

Terrible attempted return pass from Ward to McGeady though.

    Some take down from Keane

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,033 ✭✭✭✭Richard Hillman

    Close by O'Shea

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

We have been brilliant so far, Andrews playing the Xavi-role and taking advantage of the Czech highline brilliantly so far. Long looks rusty so far.
