Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    It's not a known brand, it's for third world countries, to get like a Nexus Device experience for minimal cost.

    Sundar said that it's an Indian exclusive at the minute.

    did they give a launch date for L? and i assume they have no name for it yet, thats why they call it L? maybe they are trying to sell it ala kitkat?

    No they didn't, I'm sure it will be in a couple months at the new tablet launch. BTW I dont think Google "sold" the naming rights to android for KitKat.

    Here's hoping for ladyfingers or as a lad in work said maybe "LIGA"

    maybe they didnt sell it, but it was a cross brand tie-up thingy. promotion for nestle and google. it was key-lime pie up until the last minute.

    No proper name for L too which is disappointing.

    Also I think 2 of the presenters were Irish!

    One had to have been from the North given the way he said Now like Nyow.

    Then the guy demo'ing the Android TV sounded like he was from Dublin 4 and then he failed at the basketball game and blamed it on being Irish! :pac:

    Yep the Android TV guy is a really good mate of mine and from Killiney!
    He's an engineering director with Google

    Yes, a few of us have been asked to "test" one or two of the phones in the past when he's back on holidays. :)

    Some of you may remember last year when an article was online last August/September of a journalist who had got to try out Google Glass in a pub the previous night. That was my mate and a few of us having pints in the Stag's Head when she started chatting to us!

    He was one of the best on stage yesterday. Really great presenting compared to some of the other guys. I couldn't really hear the Irish accent much though, but he was very well spoken throughout. Even the brilliant one liner after the protesters started, he deserves a raise for that alone :D

    I actually wasn't sure if he was irish or not. It was a mix of Irish and American. There was another Irish person too, can't remember what they were presenting but they had a wider mix as well.

    Really tempted to buy an Android Wear watch, both of them are very reasonably priced and my phone/tablet are both supported.

    Only available on the Nexus 7 2013 and Nexus 5 though.

    I'm going to try install it and will update.

    Mate has it on his nexus 5, says everything went well install wise but had to use a different radio modem, also the pebble says it doesn't have net access.

    Possibly he used a different method to others all the same.

    He waited til he got home to sort the pebble out, it started to work over wifi then had no trouble working ove 3/4g.

    Google is a nice company *cough* so they share their apps.

    Just search Google Cardboard and the app should pop up.

    Pretty sure it's not on iOS?? I know certain VR apps will work with it though, I'm buying it because it's so cheap and I love gadgets. I'll find a way for it to work :D

    My bad, apparently Google don't share their VR apps! :pac:

    Third part apps apparently work with it though.
