    Hi all,

Doing a family tree search and coming up with a family member that lived in Liverpool in 1900 but with a birth place down as Lyseanon Co Cavan. His name was Green/Greenan born @1850. Anyone ever heard of Lyseanon?
    Many thanks,
    D

haven't heard of it but it doesn't sound like a cavan place name, maybe a typo? maybe substitute the "y" for an "I"... places like LIssenhall, Lisdarn.. etc..

ok Many thanks, Hitting a brick wall in my search! I think their name was Greenan possibly and then dropped the 'an' at the end when moving to Seacombe, Cheshire (near Liverpool). Born around 1850, all I have is lyseanon, cavan for birthplace. I'm over there in a few days and would love to visit some parish records but don't know where to start!
