Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I got my first provisional licence when I was 17 but never really learned how to drive.

I am interested in learning now and am now 29.

I do not know where my original licence is, will this be an issue?

I was the same OP. Didn't need to send in a copy of the original, but had to do the driver theory test then send that in with the relevant forms.
    Best of luck

Did you have to do the EDT?

Your first learner permit would have brought you up to 19 then it would have expired. It's now 10 years later. You'll now have to sit the theory test and be considered a first time learner permit holder which means you have to take the 12 EDT lessons.

    Thanks MascotDec85.

Do you know if I still have to declare my first provisional on the form even though it is not of any use?

Just bumping this looking for an answer to this:

Do you know if I still have to declare my first provisional on the form (and get it signed off from the Gardai) even though it is not of any use?

I'm unsure. Call the tax office and ask
