I liked how they came out and said "Yeah we're ripping off Taken, but we already did that with another series that no one watched"

And yeah those backgrounds looked bad. Reminded me of when Wayne and Garth travelled to England.

Did anyone else find the latest episode very oddly placed in the schedule? It was like they made a Halloween one and then didn't show it, then decided to stick it in before the short hiatus.

I thought the same. Was wondering why they showed it now. And think it wasn't a good idea to have yet another obvious movie ripoff.

Didn't like the resolution either. They could've t least said how the first girl was murdered in a locked room with the sofa by the door. Unless the killer went out the fire escape or something.

Another week without Castle's mum and Alexis.

And for an Irish mob episode, it was pretty good. They restrained themselves from doing dodgy accents.

Had to laugh at the childish master baker joke.

And very subtle reminder that next week is episode 100, with the cake at the beginning for "Happy 99th"

Nice episode and a great nod to it being the 100.

@wandatowell: It's a crime of the week drama with a couple of slow burning stories entwined along with some great acting and characters, you'll find far worse ways to spend 43 minutes a week

I don't know the ep, I don't watch bones much at all, but while watching that episode of castle I did say it felt like an episode of bones with the castle's characters

I thought the clip show was a waste of space...apart from a couple of one liners and the bit with Gates at the end. Apparently the network added a couple of episodes in at the last minute and they only had a few days to put this together. Fair play to the editors though.

Clip shows are normally the bane of a TV show, but that was genuinely good. A great mix of humour and drama.

if it was played in order it seems the episode would have been incredibly odd, doing an episode where Castle fears he takes Beckett for granted when this was the episode that preceded it.

So they pulled a recap episode for mentioning bombs, while the news played the actual bombing on repeat 24 hours a day?
The problem with pulling an episode for reasons like that just goes to show how little some episodes do to move the overall story along.
And as it's already been pointed out, how could Castle be accused of taking her for granted the next episode after being willing to die with her?

Glad Castle mentioned how Beckett's hair has changed so many times since I thought the same thing, trying to figure which looked the best on her. Also liked the recap of her undercover outfits. Not quite Strahovski levels of undercover, but they still looked good.

You can always tell which season is which by Beckett's hairstyle.

ABC are reportedly looking to renew Castle through to 2015. Yippee!

Deadline reports that they've heard ABC is considering a possible two-season renewal for their hit comedic drama and crime procedural Castle. If successful, the series would be brought back for a sixth and seventh season, effectively presenting the show with new episodes through at least May 2015.

so whats the big dilemma going to be, castle is writer so he can move to DC if he wants, will it be that he can't follow his girlfriend around while she deals with national security issues, because it didn't seem to be a problem in this ep!

sure didnt his father arrange for him to shadow a FBI or CIA agent a few years back also, it would be interesting if they changed the shows format, but TBF i dont think its gone stale, also it could allow beckett get a better chance of getting yerman who killed her mother,
