Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello all!

Does anyone know the cheapest way to get to Mullingar or am I stuck with BusEireann and Irish Rail only?

    Cheers,
    Peter.

Your only realistic options are Bus Eireann and Irish Rail, although why you say you're "stuck" with them I'm not sure, as between them they offer quite a decent level of service with up to 11 return rail services and 19 return bus services each day.

There are no private operators on the route other than thebus.ie that operates a very limited service.

Bus Eireann timetables are here. Bus Eireann are €19.48 return online.

    Irish Rail times are here.
Return fares are €19.50, but are €17 after 09.30 on weekdays and all day at weekends.
