    Hi :)

Looking to go to a festival in the North of Ireland in July and planning on renting a Camper Van. There are 5 of us in total all from the West Coast.

We cannot find ANYWHERE that will rent for 2nights??
And also sadly we are all under 25 (At the time of renting 3 of us will be 2 weeks short of 25!) although kinda grown-ups working as nurses and teachers ;)

Can anyone point us in the right direction as to where we can rent a Camper Van for 2 nights privately or through a company? Any websites or phone numbers etc would be very much appreciated :)

    Thanks a million
    Laura

Give these folk a ring and ask. Be prepared for a steep price. I looked into renting one before, very expensive but if you have a group might work out ok.

Would public transport and a few tents not do the job? Definitely be a whole lot cheaper.

What festival is it, if you don't mind me asking.

Oh yeah definitely like, I don't mind the camping at all :)
But some iffy friends want showers and loo access hahaha

Is the Glasgowbury Festival in Derry, have you ever heard of it? Promises to be a good one so I'm excited!
Just planning transports and sleeping arrangements is such a pain! Did not think finding a Camper Van to rent would be so harrrdddd

I admit that a camper would be great, but as I said, you will pay for the luxury. I think you should find someone to rent you one for the weekend ok.

As for the festival itself, yeah heard about it ok. Know a few friends went a few years ago. Heard its a really good spot, good relaxed vibe about it and a lack of dick-heads that would maybe frequent the 'bigger' festivals. Not as many drunks about either, which is always a good thing. More a Co.Derry thing though, as opposed to Derry (which we would take as being in and around the city itself).

They do organised camping too at the event, and well organised I hear, in case the camper doesn't materialise.

Jez, no recession round these parts then!

I'm surprised to hear that tbh, I know that one on the way into Letterkenny, they must have about 100+ for sale, sitting doing nothing. I'd have thought that they would at least rent the odd one out to bring in some money.

Perhaps you could look into camper rentals in NI rather than RoI?

What about these ones, quite quirky

Thats probably the pertinant point really, renting in the North is a good idea. Also email is the worst way to get a positive response from any company, pick up the phone. Its much easier to say no to an email.

I don't think Glasgowbury allow campers, unless you had other arrangements organised?

Site says there are a limited number of camper-van spaces available, nearest camp site would seem to be shepards rest, Draperstown.
