Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just so long as they don't ransom the streets again.

There's an escalation of their protests from Monday..
One driver participating in the protest told The Irish Times that the intention was to block Luas lines and the Dublin Port tunnel during Monday’s protest. Successive cars would “break down” on the lines and in the tunnel, effectively forcing their closure.

Btw, THIS is a brilliant thread and worth a laugh.

Disgrace. Their cars should be towed by the Gardai and the perpetrators arrested for deliberately obstructing the lives of commuters and other members of the public. Repeat offenders should have their right to work as a taxi driver removed.

I think this one should be met with force buy the authorities.
    Time to stop the sulking.
Then again the stopage last week got little or no support. Plenty of sensible drivers working away making a few quid.

equally i have no problem if people report me if i break the rules so feel free.

thanks opinion guy. anyway, I don't want to report you! What would I do without you? You... you... complete me :P

i actually think if they do go and do as that driver said in the paper and 'break down' on the luas tracks they should be removed swiftly. fair enough if they sit on the ranks and protest. they have my support in stopping their services. guaranteed though there will be a lot of drivers working anyway.

anyone lucky enough to have a bit of surplus cash in these days, and monday off, should go out with their camera phone and play a game of taxi baiting. hail one on the street and ask to be taken to the gresham hotel. maybe bring a walking stick and say you need to be dropped to the door :D

Nah, they will get Gardai escorts for the duration of the strike. So they won't get crap from the angry public. Funny how it works isn't it?

Farmers protest down in Wexford had a Gardai escort while the protest drove through the town very very slowly. I mean, WTF?
