I don't see a MASSIVE earthquake on USGS feed. a 5 and a 4 - unless these were foreshocks before the one being reported on the news.

Yep, though no casualties reported yet, so hopefully they will come out of it better than Haiti.

    From RTE .....

There were no immediate reports of casualties or serious damage.
A spokesman at the US naval base at Guantanamo Bay also reported no damage there.

Not quite the massive disaster thank God. :)

They reported it accurately - the OP sensationalised it.

Thanks whoring fail... Unlucky, better luck next time...

Why is it ok to make jokes in some earthquake threads yet if you made a joke in the Haiti thread you'd get banned? I find that odd...

Well hopefully this quake isn't a bad one.

You didn't see what happened in Australia then, it was all over the news?

Whenever you hear reports of an earthquake, the first place to check is http://earthquake.usgs.gov/ , and if it's big, check the PAGER map for it. That gives a quick estimate of how many people were affected and how badly.

From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch’.

A light to moderate earthquake is hyped up as a 'massive earthquake' by the OP. OP is put on ignore.

They just caught Ned Kelly - RTE's sending Charlie Bird.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,440 ✭✭✭The Aussie

I heard that one, they caught Ned after drinking to much rum and beating up his wife, he was involved in a low speed police chase in a 1974 WB Ute that ran out of fuel.
