Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    ~~~ People, not too worried but can you try to keep image sizes at or below 1024*768 for easier readability for those of us with 720p or higher screens? Horizontal scrollbars are the work of the Devil!!~~~
    In the same manner of Know your nerds, anyone posting here without pics of their builds gets banned. And no chats or other OT posts. If you want a discussion, open another thread or PM.
    This is the one and only warning you all get.
    its a 4" cold cathode in there i droped the cable through first and passed it through the bottom fins , the pulled the cathode through , i got a bit of plastic , from an old cassette tape put super glue on the sides slide it through untill it covered the top hole then turned the thing upside down untill the plastic held , its just gathering dust on my shelf now :rolleyes:
    Be prepared for the messiest case you've ever seen. Keep saying I'll clean it up but I might as well wait now till I put in the new board and card in a few weeks. I used to have another build that I sold to Christophicus a few months ago and I really wish I'd kept the modular hyper psu from that. It's the third picture. The second one is my other 'powerhouse' - 500mhz, 384mb ram and Radeon 9200. Use it for playing divx/xvid, emulators and older games (currently playing Kingpin and Mortyr) on a projector. Very fond of it. :D
    extreme? whats extreme? :p
    the 42u was pretty cheap - not much more than my new case. about 500eur including 2 switches, lots of cables, kvm switch, ups and other stuff; it was worth it alone for the ups. I use it to both house my two computers (desktop/server) and my podcasting gear - which is what actually takes up most of it (patch bay, mixer, firewire console, tube composer). I'd take a pic of it now if i could, but my camera is busted.
    got to agree with you there, whats the point of showing off your gear if you cant rub it into others faces, only to get shot down in the next post. thats what its all about! :D
    speaking of which: TerrorFirmer, is that monitor glossy?
    I've seen lots of glossy laptop screens, not a one that was for a desktop - it seems like you've got an unusual amount of reflection on the corner there.
    Actually yeah it is quite reflective - it's a great screen, brilliant for COD4. That's a cathode reflected in it in the picture....
    Unbelievable value for 269 euro. Was expecting it to be a bit crap. Like it a lot more then my old Samsung 205bw.
    Pixmania have some good prices right now on 24" monitors....
