Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yes believe it or not that's the name of the Vice President of Nigeria. I'm sure lots of hilarity must ensue with a name like that.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goodluck_Jonathan

So what's the most hilarious real life name you've come across? Provide linkage if you can.

True enough but I wasn't thinking along those lines. I wasn't taking all the possible variables into account Snyper. Just what initially apeared funny.

When I once told a girl my name she laughed very loudly and told me my parents were cruel. Thing is, my name isn't that unusual at all.

Canaan Banana was the first President of Zimbabwe.

It's his name. I doubt whether many Zimbabweans found it funny or unusual.

I did go to school with a guy called Rockliffe McLaren Ogilvie B*********. His parents named him after the three Scottish medical students who helped at his birth.

Poor old Stan Still, I can't help but laugh when he tries to be serious about how his life has been a nighmare!
Retired airman Stan Still, 76, from Cirencester, Gloucestershire, said his name had been "a blooming millstone around my neck my entire life".
"When I was in the RAF my commanding officer used to shout, 'Stan Still, get a move on' and roll about laughing," he said.
"It got hugely boring after a while."

Oh and there was a guy who went to St. Mary's school when I was younger called Ivor Ash, never met him but it's been confirmed by numerous, different people who know him.

Class 2 has undergone a dramatic revival over the course of this championship wit grid numbers growing each day. The influx of new drivers to the class produced a great battle with local driver Willie Bumster taking the win ahead of Kerry man David Hallinan

I know a guy with this name. He had it rough in school. Only when he got out of Mayo did he start pronouncing it properly.

When doing IT phone support I used to get this woman who would give her name of 'Tina Fuchs' and then giggle. This would always brighten up an otherwise insufferably boring day. I'd then be trying to get the conversation going in a dirty direction while still trying to stay professional, but I never managed it as there wasn't a lot I could do with "Can I have your computername" etc.:(

I remember from the book 'Freakonomics' that some guy in America called his two sons 'Winner' and 'Loser' Lane. Apparently the first son, Winner, was given this name as the father thought it would help him get ahead in life. It didn't. God knows what he was thinking with that, but to call your next son Loser....*facepalm*.

I think Loser came on to become a police superintendant or something similar, he led a more successful life than Winner anyway...and everyone just called him Lou.
