Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Black and White Screen of Death

Started a thread the other day on how I thought I had broken my friend's laptop. Now I seem to have done my own!

It came up today that the laptop had to shut down as there was some error. It's a 2010 MBP, refurbished. It never worked 100% like past Macs but I was moving abroad so kept it. It has always been very slow to get off the grey loading screen on start up.

After today's error it wouldn't move on from the start up screen at all. Then I googled and it said to do a Safe Mode start up. And that you could press Shift+CMD+V to see it going into Safe Mode. But now it's just stuck there. A black screen with lots of writing on it. Like something from MS Dos.

Is there anything I can do?? I have almost everything backed up so wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if I had to reboot it completely. :(
