Folks, Looking for recommendation of decent oil to put into my 07 Nissan Primera. Its a 1.6 petrol model. On a budget but willing to pay for decent quality. Was thinking of going into Halfords. Opinions ??

5w30 is recommended by Nissan. Personally I use 10w40 as it seems to keep the chain in the engine a bit quiter

Check your handbook and don't go to Halfords.

Some sites will help you find the recommended spec, like http://www.castrol.com/en_gb/united-kingdom.html or http://www.mobilservicecentre.co.uk/which_oil_for_my_car

Once you know the spec (it should also be in the owners manual) you can check in local factors or Halfords.
