Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My elec windows are working, lights working, wipers working, heating working, original model stereo not working but most importantly, the car won't start. When I turn the ignition all the way its totally silent, no usual sound of the plugs trying to engage before she starts up. Just total silence, but as I mentioned all the other electrics are ok so battery isnt dead. In the LCD its also reads 'secure' which I havent seen before, must refer to central locking. Just before it got to this stage when the car last ran yesterday when I stopped and took keys out of the ignition the radio would stay on, even with the keys out. Any ideas?

Sounds like a problem with the immobiliser preventing it from starting.

Are you using the exact same key you always use?

Try taking the key off the keyring and trying again. Other keys may be interfering.

"Secure" probably means that the radio has locked itself due to low voltage. (It thinks it's being stolen) The other items you mention are working but probably at lower speeds or lower light output. Either you have a weak connection at the battery or you need a new battery. (Modern batteries can fail very quickly with little warning).

try jiggling the key up/down to see if its the contacts on electrical block-ignition switch.
