    Hello,

I am buying a golf tdi 90bhp mk4! i was wondering is it worth chipping it for more power, how much would it cost and if anyone here has done it?

Chipping in diesels will generally up your torque and give you a smoother curve. Done one or two jeeps, and they are a good bit smoother especially overtaking. Bearing in mind however, the best candidates are general turbo engines. But don't be expecting to go from pedal bike to Porsche! If you want serious 'gains' (hate that word) you'll want to be looking to improve the mechanics etc as well.

In all cases, keep an eye on your costs. Its easy to spend the value of the car on upgrades for very little performance gains.
