Awful pass from Luck there with plenty of time, too.

    Poor Luck! Poor

    McAfee nice again!

Giants D making Luck their bitch. They get him out of rythem, like they are and the interceptions will come. Colts need to be more balanced on offence, and also more quick short passes to back this D off a little. They are getting on top of him

Sometimes I despise how stubborn Coughlin is.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

    Woohoo, suck on that Coughlin!

That escalated quickly all of a sudden :)

Bit of a balls by the Giants there.

Gruden gets the weekly spider 2 Y banana call in!

Sometimes? Look on the bright side, barring a bit of a minor miracle this is probably his last year there

I know he tried to throw the flag, but I don't care, TC's damn stubbornness has us in terrible field position twice in a row. Colts were always going to convert.

He's so obsessed with running the ball. That's well and good when you have a running back that can do it, or an OL that can execute. But right now all we have is Eli Manning. Give him the ball.

Well the Giants certainly ballsed that one up.

At least once a week, we do.

Getting close to the point where you can plough into the Giants to cover the spread though, ah big gain. Have to wait another bit longer

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Giants are moving the ball with ease here :)

    Serious pressure brought there

I honestly feel bad for Eli more and more each week. He's got dross to play with in comparison to his brother, for example.

These receivers are dross. How many passes can they drop?

TBF Eli hasn't been very accurate on those dropped passes too.

Demps could have and probably should have had the Int there.

I had an argument the other day with someone over here, as I was saying that Eli's best receiver has probably been Plaxico Burress. I also said that ODB will be far and away the best receiver he has had.

It really doesn't say much for Giants receiving corp.

I know Nicks and Cruz were excellent in 2011, but injuries to Nicks, and Cruz having nobody else to take the attention away from him, really slowed down production.

Eli Manning has never had a remotely elite offense to play with. Yeah, you can look at the likes of Brady and see his production this year, but he's one of the greatest of all time. Yet he still had time with the likes of Moss, Gronkowski, and Welker for a number of years. Plus a top defence and coaching staff too.

    Should have picked that, easily.

Along with the one in the endzone to Fleener, Luck is living up to his name a little to not have two interceptions so far today. The blitz has died down a bit in the second quarter but might still be in his head.

We are so shit and so injury ridden.

    I....I just...never mind.

I kinda thought the Giants should have just kneeled on that possession!

And nearly gives it away to end the half. Could be some strange goings on in the second half...

    Manning is 9 for 23.

    9.

    Christ.

Also, looking at the injury list for the Giants once more, and its beyond ridiculous.

    From the current 53 Roster:
    Jenkins
    Jennings
    DRC

They're three of our best players.

    On IR:
    Cruz
    Schwartz (should be back soon)
    Beason
    Thurmond
McBride (Our 2nd nickle corner and one of our best players last year)
David Wilson - Retired due to injury
Will Hill smoked too much and went to Ravens.
Cooper Taylor - injured after promising preseason.
    Jernigan
Harris - injured after making 53

Oh, and Prince got injured earlier as well.

The way their night is going, it might have lead to a Safety.

First pick he should have had came off of Fleeners hands so that wouldn't exactly have been lucky!

Colts mediocre at best so far! giants just piss poor!

My hope is that Vinny gets inducted to the hall of fame as a Colts player!

I'm predicting extreme conservatism in this first drive from the Colts!

Tight Ends are invisible to the Giants D, as per usual.

Colts having a lot of luck all around today!

Well, that's one way to put it! Luck could have had 2 fumbles and 3 picks... unbelievable play from Hilton there!

I posted this before the TD

Was DRC's knee not down before Hitlon grabbed it?

Looked at it again, and I don't think that's a TD, tbh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,370 ✭✭✭✭Son Of A Vidic

Shocking defending by DRC, to have an Int taken of him in the end zone for a TD.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,403 ✭✭✭spiritcrusher

Surprised they didn't give that TD more of a review. Thought DRC could've had the knee down before Hilton pulled it off him. Probably didn't have full control of it but thought it was worth a look.

Don't think he ever had control tbh! Should have! Might have been a bit unlucky but you really need to hold that!

Might not have had full control. There was a facemask too. Also, big name QB reffing bias.

I'm not complaining though, got money both on the Colts and the over. :p

Maybe it's just me but it seemed like an awful quick confirmation to give the TD. Another crew might have also called a face mask.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Definitely seemed far too quick. I think Billy is right with his big name QB TD theory, actually.

Still don't see how it was a TD. Certainly not as clear cut as the officials made it appear.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

Great play from Andre Williams... Giants REALLY needed that.

Then he runs it in. Backers of the over bet... we're still in this!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Would have put money on a fade. Pleasantly surprised!

That was a very timely score by the Giants.

You almost have to laugh. Giants best player of the night, what happens? Injured of course.

Prince, one of our best players this season, started brightly too before being ruled of with a bicep injury.

There's a packers fan and a Giants fan claiming the NFL referees have a bias towards big name QBs!

    Strange times indeed

Oh believe me, as a Packers fan I can't complain about it - but it is there! Even when Rodgers was out last year for a few weeks (or in the first two or so years of his career) the difference in terms of benefit of the doubt for calls/throws/picks/etc was extremely noticeable compared to when Favre was at QB or from around 2011 onwards. Just the non grounding call just as I type this, if that were a C or D list QB (Schaub, Fitzpatrick, etc) there is a huge chance grounding does get called.

I'm not saying it's a big giant conspiracy or anything - I reckon it has more with the refs just assuming "yeah, he got it/did it/etc" and giving them the benefit because of it. Eli isn't really on that level, but when the Giants are doing well and he is in form, the calls tend to go for him more than they do at times like this.

Incredible play from Luck! Just need 11 more points in the game and I'm in the money now! :D
