Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Attacks on firewall

I'm wondering if you guys are doing something about the attacks on your firewall. I've installed 3CSyslog to check the logs, and I'm amazed to see that someone is trying to break in every 3 minutes... Some are genuine port scan but most of these are on port 135, so I suspect the last worms are still around and not…

Is it really worth the effort to contact the ISP?

what do you think the isp will do..

track down each and every attacker, i mean don't get me wrong but they have more important things to do!

Unless you're a big customer of theirs and it's the same people attacking you, then there's no point. It's not their job and they don't have the time to investigate script kiddies running exploits against your machine.
Use a decent firewall, end of story.
