Bit of a general question - just wondering what's the most efficient/economical way to heat Water + Rads with a gas boiler.

We have a 3 year old Ferroli gas boiler, don't have exact model to hand.
In the winter we set the gas Boiler come on for 20 minutes to heat the radiators in the bedroom and its also set to heat water in the hot water cylinder for showers.

Does it make a difference if we have the boiler set to heat both rads and water at the same time, say from 6am-6.20am,
or are we better off heating the water first for 20 minutes from 6am-6.20am and then heat the rads from 6.20-6.40am - presume boiler would be "pushed harder" the 1st way?

If the rads & hot water are up to temp in the first 20 mins then by splitting it your running your boiler for 40 mins. The first way is more efficient IMO.
