Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How to recycle bikes?

How to re-cycle something that hasn't actually cycled in a long time LOL

A couple of old bikes: what do people think is best...

Recycle as "metals" at local recycling place (Ballyogan would be nearest)

Try to restore/repair/sell on/donate to charity?

There was once a custom where the Gárdai used to collect up abandoned bikes and sell them off: the last and most damaged ones - a sizeable pile - tended to be bought by scrap dealers - Does that service still exist, does anyone know?

Finally, if recycling as metal, would you take off saddle and tyres etc - brake blocks? How much stripping down?

    Very grateful for any contributions.
