Which is better between Clonmel Park vs Minella? Which has more space and machines and possibly less crowded?

I've been a member of both so in my opinion:

    Minella
Great pool, jacuzzi and outdoor hot tub
    Use of tennis courts
Better classes (except for aqua aerobics where Park is better)
    Free swimming lessons/tips for adults
Nice coffee area and overall seems more social
    More expensive than Park though

BTW if your yearly budget is €395 than Minella is about €500 so probably not an option.

Both have all the main equipment though Park is a little bigger I think. I've never had to wait for a machine in either so sometimes the weights area in both can be busy in winter evenings.

Why don't you go in to both and ask for a trial?

    thanks for the opinion.

I am looking for weights training only. not into swimming or tennis.

My preference would be a bigger gym which is less packed and machines and weights are available readily and it looks like Clonmel Park is the right option. Am i right?

Really can't comment as I only use a handful of the weights available in both.

Why don't you visit both and get a tour and see how knowledgeable they are about the weights they have. Depending on what time you'll be using the gym one might be less busy than the other.

I've never seen anyone wait too long for weights (machines or free weights) though - this isn't Dublin, the gyms don't get that packed.

I recently joined the park, they had an offer €99 for 3 months - I think it is still running at €109 for 3 months.

The weights area does tend to get pretty busy between 6-8, there are only 3 benches there so can be hard to get one. Weekends have been very quiet when I have been there.

    thanks for the input.

I will go myself soon to check it out.
How about cross trainer and cycle machines? And machine for shoulder & back press?

You could always try out the Crossfit gym
    Crossfit Tipperary.

As an aside, which pool in Clonmel is the best/nicest?

Seems to be always Cardio equipment available.
All weight machines/free weights pretty busy at the 6-8 time.

No idea - they have signs up around the hotel with the 3 month offer though.
