Hi all, Hope this is the right place.

My car was parked outside the house this morning. I live in a quiet street. I opened the driver door to get in. I realised I forgot something and ran into the house to grab it. I left the car driver side door open. A lady driver past hit the car door as i was inside and knocked off her mirror.

Am i liable here? It won't be much I'm sure but she could have avoided it.

Your car was stationary? Including your door? Then not your fault. Her responsibility to avoid
