Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This could be a very short lived thread.

Room to improve is on. Anyone care to guess the finished house/extension?

My guess is, square/cube extension, open plan. Skylight Windows, Floor to Ceiling windows/door to let light in.

I was away on the bike for a spin... But I'm guessing..

Part 1: "Dermot, we need more space and more light in the house. Can you help us?"

Part 2: Dermot draws up the plans for the house (in MS Paint).

Part 3: Dermot has fked up something on the plans and there's trouble..

Part 4: "We wanted light and space, it's perfect"

I'm here watching an episode on tv at the min.
I don't remember an episode where Dermot hasn't fcut some thing up and is in complete denial of the fcuk up.
In every episode there is a quarrel with the clients over something.
Communication seems to be a massive issue with the D man.

Yeah Dermot never seems to accept responsibility when he has messed up. It always seems to be that poor builder who has to fix things.

It's hard to know if it's added in for "drama" or something, but he's come across as a complete know it all, but time and again he is shown up.
The house came out well though.

When is the show coming back? I see it advertised, but without a date.
This made me think of it!
She’s not a great fan of the very Irish preoccupation with “glass box” living-dining extensions. “A pet hate of mine is when people gouge out the backs of beautiful buildings and stick in a cold glass extension. Then they wonder why the house is so hard to heat or why they have issues with damp on the first floor. It’s because they’re putting all their energy into heating an add-on glass box. It’s like an open wound on a building and in 15 years time that very modern box is going to look out of date.

I bet Dermot will argue with the owners, they won't like what he is doing but they will agree and they will love the final product....oh and there'll be a court yard
