Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What are the public transport options from Thurles to Athlone? I know you can get the train via Portarlington but are there any options by bus?

Bus options from Thurles are very few and far between because the train service to Thurles is so good.

Bus Eireann no longer operates in or out of Thurles.

4 years too late. Route 71 Athlone-Cork used to serve the town. It was withdrawn in 2010

Either you get the train or a get the bus to Nenagh/Roscrea and meet the Limerick-Athlone route 72
