Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi there, I am still getting great mileage from my Apple MBP 15 inch (2.2 ghz) bought in 2007 but the battery has finally expired again. Does the battery on the Apple Store work for my 2007 model?

    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA348LL/A/rechargeable-battery-15-inch-macbook-pro

My MBP's system profiler tells me the following about the battery in there now:

    Battery Information:

    Model Information:
    Manufacturer: Sony
    Device name: ASMB012
    Pack Lot Code: 0001
    PCB Lot Code: 0000
    Firmware Version: 0110
    Hardware Revision: 0500
    Cell Revision: 0303
    Charge Information:
    Charge remaining (mAh): 0
    Fully charged: No
    Charging: No
    Full charge capacity (mAh): 0
    Health Information:
    Cycle count: 188
    Condition: Replace Now
    Battery Installed: Yes
    Amperage (mA): 5

If the "official" Apple battery offering on the store is not suitable, any other options?

If it’s a unibody with a replaceable battery, then no, you’d need the longer battery which Apple also sell on the store. But if it’s the pre-unibody aluminium, then yes that should work.
