Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Nico sez:
On one of the corners of the descent, Simon Geschke of Giant-Shimano slid off on a bend in the break and when his team car pulled in at the edge of the road behind him, the roadside gave way and the car slid down into the ditch. When we came past it looked like they had lost control and crashed.

Doesn't look like anything gave way there, they just drove into the ditch!

Presumably the soft verge was flat but collapsed (creating a ditch) when they put two wheels on it.

edit: which doesn't explain why the verge in front of the car has caved in.

car collapsed in that ditch id say from being on edge of it.

It might be the case they didn't drive into the ditch, but stopped with two wheels off the tarmac on the verge, which then caved and the car slid into the ditch proper.
