Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Probably 4-6, it depends on my fitness goals in that time period. Right now 0, but I'll be back to my beer in a month or so.

Back when I drank only beer it was around 8 beers a night. Now I start my evening with 2 beers followed by around 700ml of rum. Still functional.

No, I drink an insane amount of alcohol. Cutting back a bit now seeing as I live in the middle of nowhere and there are no pubs around me and drinking at home is boring.

Yes there's only so many movies you can watch having a few, gets boring, although if your at home you don't tend to go over board

How many beers have you got? :p

Monday night is beer night, head to a local bar and drink local beer. Drink beer other nights too but the Monday night session is a sure thing every week.

About 12 craft bottles a week. 3 sessions of 4 bottles.

Just drink at home as pub is expensive and generally getting too old for it.

    Just turned 90, eh? :D

Me? 2 or 3 a week, always at home with the OH on the weekends.

I'd like it to be higher, but unfortunately the country I live in doesn't have much of a pub culture (rural France)

    For me it depends.

I didnt drink any alcohol (bar the odd 1 or two at parties) up until around 3 years ago until I became a proffesional chef then it went downhill from there.

There was a stage where it could be 40+ pints a week but now its about 15-20 a week.

    16 x 500ml or 24 x 355ml craft beers a week, usually IPA's of the very hoppy variety.

Nice some of the hoppy ones I do not like, Weiss beer is lovely, but if I drank six 500ml I would be drunk.

There's bargains to be found in Dublin pubs if ya shop around. There's a 6 for €20 deal in The Blacker on Tuesdays and they also have all drinks at €3.50 each on Thursdays. I heard there's 5 for €18/€19 in The Fountain on Meath Street. The Cock 'n' Bull in Coolock Village sell pints for €4 every day of the week (also Guinness for €3.80 and Beamish for €3.30) in the bar (although the lounge charge more for drinks). Don't forget Wetherspoons in Blackrock have recently reduced their prices and no pint or bottled beer costs more than €2.95 apparently. I have heard of a few pubs in the inner city doing pints for €3 on certain days as well.

As for me and drinking, I like to get out 2-3 times a week. Consumption tends to vary.

Definitely upwards of fifteen most weeks. But if my mam asks, tell her I only had three or she'll blow a fuse.

Maybe I should cut down, I might get one of those "Bikini bellies" coveted so highly right now.

Used to drink one in the evening and throw in a whiskey from time to time but didn't drink any alcohol for a few month now.

Round 70 pints every second week. Gone to a stage now where I have to give it up or die.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,553 ✭✭✭murphyebass

It really depends on what's going on in life.

I used to go out Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday day/night couldn't tell ya how many would have been the average but a few let's say.

Then you get older, married, kids, etc

To be honest I'm happy with a few bottles of IPA or other craft beer a week these days.

Though some weeks can be completely dry.

This week for example is a zero beer week and next week could easily be as well just with work and family stuff.

Some serious drinking goin on here though.

Impressed and scared for a few livers here in equal measure.

I've been contenting myself with 6 of these bad boys each week since the end of April. The wedding debt will be paid off in 2 weeks so I may actually see the inside of a pub in the near future!

That's some drinkin'! Used to drink about a keg every two weeks myself, but that'd be over two weeks, don't drink much, or at all really, these days

Excluding other alcoholic beverages ,normally 5-6 pints each weekend in the local.
