Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

you should be able to claim what was known as the x's and o's once you don't work more than 3 days a week. sunday doesnt matter so technically your only working one dayy so you should be ok, just involves dropping in signed slips from your employer to welfare office and they post you a cheque of your entitelements.

look up citizens advice they hav all the info!

    goodluck

Thank you for your replies.Have been working for last 15 years or so full time. Was unemployed for 3 months about 2 years ago. Yes she is getting maternity benefit.

the reason i asked how many days you were working is that your rate of payment will be based, among other factors on your "loss of employment". for example if you were working a five day week and you are reduced to 3 days then you have suffered a loss of employment of 2 days. so you will get unemployment benefit for 2 days.

I would also apply for a medical card as if anything happens to any of you, you may find it very hard to pay for doctor etc.

It takes so long for a decision your better to apply and then cancel if you get your hours back.

When you are going to sw office bring in a letter from your employer stating that your days have been reduced I presume you work the same days every week so be sure to get him to name the actual days you work as Sunday is not counted as a working day for social welfare.

You say you have claimed before... if its still the same office that you claimed through before you can download a UP6 which is a repeat claim form and have it filled out before you go in... saves a bit of time link http://www.welfare.ie/EN/Pages/jajbapplications.aspx UP6 form for repeat claims.
