Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey, any idea how long it should take to transfer a social welfare payment to another county within Ireland?

I'm moving to Dublin, but have heard horror stories of people waiting months without any payment at all, and wondering if I'd be better off spending eight hours a week on buses to collect it from where I'm registered now?

Does anyone here have any experience of how long I would have to wait?

I can't give you any info from experience re waiting time for the transfer but it is certainly the case that while you are waiting for the SW payments to be transferred you can go to the Community Welfare Officer at the local HSE/Health Office in your new locality (find it here http://www.hse.ie/eng/services/Find_a_Service/LHO/ )and get payments to tide you over -- these payments to be deducted when your sw payments come through.
