Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I want to go on an ordinary holiday to Australia
http://www.eta.immi.gov.au/
$20 and can be done online
What is a Working Holiday Visa (WHV)?
Its a visa that allows you to come to Australia and work for 1 year.
For more http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-holiday/417/working-in-australia.htm
When is this visa valid to/from
You have 12 months to enter Australia from when the visa is granted, you then have 12 months to work/travel in Australia from the day you arrive.
How much does this cost?
http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/990i/working-holiday.htm
Can I get a second Working Holiday Visa WHV.
Yes at the time of writing you must have completed specified work for 88 days in a rural area on your 1st WHV.

What is the age limit for WHV/2nd WHV
You must have turned 18, but not turned 31, at the time of your visa application. You then have a year to arrive regardless of age (i.e. you can arrive when 31 and turn 32 in Oz)
and the 2nd WHV :
be aged between 18 and 30 years (inclusive) at the time of applying, however, you may be aged over 30 years of age at the time your visa is granted.
Do I need a return flight or proof of funds on a WHV?
As part of the criteria for a WHV you need one of these, not necessarily both.
You need access to $5000, which is not the same as having $5000 in a bank account, this can be a credit card etc.
Evidence of proof of funds can be a bank statement printed out, a credit card, you do not need to have the money in Australia.
Please note this is rarely checked at the airport, but if you are coming to Australia you'll probably need $5000 to start here, as setting up a place to stay can be pricey.
Right I have my visa but want to work, how to I get a Tax file number

I want to start driving in Australia, what do I do?
If you are on a WHV or a 457 you usually do not need to transfer your licence, as only permanent visa holders need to transfer.
Each state has different rules, so make sure you are up to speed with different rules for licence for different states:- Perth/ WA http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/licensing/20669.asp
- NSW - Getting a NSW licence, using Irish licence on a temp (417,457) visa
- VIC - http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/Licences/NewToVictoria/OverseasDriversLicences.htm
- Queensland - http://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/Licensing/Visitors-and-new-residents.aspx
Can I claim back tax and super after leaving Australia?
